Listed is the base hiring salary range offered for this position. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors, including but not limited to skills and experience. The salary range listed is just one component of the total rewards/compensation package offered to candidates.

Mid = $88,644.78
Max = $109,101.27
Summary:
The Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Program Manager leads the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the organization's non-emergency medical transportation services in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of Onvida Health . This individual is responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of the program including policy development, regulatory compliance, driver supervision, fleet oversight, and stakeholder engagement. The Program Manager promotes a culture of safety, service excellence, and operational reliability while developing standardized processes to ensure efficient transportation services.
Responsibilities:
Program Oversight & Leadership : Manages the NEMT program in alignment with applicable regulatory and organizational standards, incorporating best practices to ensure safe and reliable transport services. Leads development and implementation of operational policies, workflows, and staff education to ensure compliance with current and future regulatory and accreditation requirements. Provides high-level programmatic oversight and strategic direction to ensure continuous readiness, reliability, and responsiveness of transportation services. Serves as the primary liaison for transportation-related matters and escalates operational risks or performance gaps to leadership with recommended actions.
Staff Leadership & Training : Provides daily supervision and coaching for NEMT drivers, including performance management, timekeeping, and scheduling in coordination with organizational policies & procedures . Fosters a culture of accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvement through goal setting, feedback, regular performance evaluations , and ensuring team members maintain required training and certifications . Collaborates with Human Resources in the recruitmen t and onboarding processes.
Regulatory Compliance & Safety : Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local transportation regulations, including , but not limited to Department of Transportation ( DOT ) and Federal Transit Administration ( FTA ) standards for vehicle safety, driver qualifications, and operational requirements. Implements and maintains internal safety protocols, emergency procedures, and documentation practices to align with relevant regulations. Conducts regular audits of vehicle inspections and maintenance logs to verify compliance and operational readiness. Fleet & Vehicle Management Oversees the preventive maintenance and safe operation of the transportation fleet. Develops and maintains accurate vehicle maintenance logs and vehicle inspection reports, ensuring all records meet internal and regulatory documentation standards.
Program Evaluation & Continuous Improvement: Leads collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners to assess program gaps and implement sustainable solutions that enhance the patient and staff experience. Utilizes data analysis and performance metrics to monitor utilization , timeliness, satisfaction, and program efficiency. Identifies trends and areas for improvement, develops corrective action plans, and monitors implementation and impact.
Requirements:
- Minimum: Bachelor's degree in healthcare or related field .
- Preferred: Master's degree in healthcare administration , Business, Public Health, or related field .
- Minimum: 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience in a healthcare setting and 1 year of experience in transportation operations or logistics .
- Preferred: 3 years of leadership experience in healthcare and 3 years of transportation-related experience, preferably in a non-emergency medical transport or similar healthcare-support environment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) AHA
- Fleet Safety Clearance
