Our main interest is for an Ophthalmologist focused on anterior segment/cataract surgeon. Our practice has a heritage that includes the patients from 3 past generations of Ophthalmologists over the last 60+ years whose practices have been assumed by subsequent Ophthalmologists who started as associates then became eventual owners.   Our 3 Ophthalmologists have practiced here their entire professional careers---one 36 years, one 33 years, and one 24 years--in this practice.  Our primary office is located in Joplin, MO with satellite offices in Neosho, MO and Pittsburg, Kansas.  We are looking for a situation where an Ophthalmologist is thinking long term and making their own mark on this well established practice/surgery center as the current Ophthalmologists  owners seek a transition to the next generation of Regional Eye Center, PC and Regional Surgery Center, PC owners.  

Adjacent to our primary Joplin, MO office in the same building is our Freestanding Ambulatory Surgery Center which was the FIRST of its kind in Southern Missouri opening in 1989 and has always been 100% Ophthalmologist-owned by our practice's Ophthalmologists.  Three Ophthalmologists in Joplin not affiliated with our practice have retired and closed their practices within the last 6 years.  If you want to control your professional future in Ophthalmology, this combined independent office/ Ambulatory Surgery Center is a great option.

We practice Medical/Surgical Ophthalmology with a main focus on Cataract/General Ophthalmic surgery. We are looking  for an additional Anterior Segment/ Cataract Surgeon.  

Joplin, MO has a large expanding  medical community attracting many patients from a large geographic area in the Four-State region. A new Medical School opened in Joplin in 2017 and the  local hospitals have several post graduate residency programs. A new Dental school has been build  adjacent to the medical school.  Outdoor recreational activities abound in the Ozark region in which Joplin, Mo is located. All practice locations have used the same Electronic Medical Records (NexTech) for 11 years.
