Description
NYU Langone Health Women’s Mental Health Fellowship
Academic Year 2025-2026
We are currently recruiting for TWO Women’s Mental Health Fellowship Positions.
The Women’s Mental Health Fellowship in NYU Langone’s Department of Psychiatry trains physicians to assess and treat psychiatric symptoms that occur during the menstrual cycle, pregnancy, and the perinatal and postpartum periods. This one-year fellowship gives trainees the opportunity to care for a diverse population of patient spanning 2 hospitals and 6 clinical sites for a truly rich and exciting experience.
As a fellow, you will gain clinical experience through rotations in multiple treatment settings including the prominent Bellevue Hospital Center, a city hospital caring for the uninsured and underserved population of NYC, as well as NYU Langone Medical Center, a private hospital with a public mission for New Yorkers.
Outside of direct patient care, you will engage in a highly expert didactic curriculum, have ample supervision, and will receive mentorship in the development of academic projects, presentations, and publications.
Fellowship Eligibility Requirements:
Two fellowship positions will be available each academic year. We look for mature, motivated applicants who have satisfactorily completed an ACGME-accredited general psychiatry residency before entering the program. We consider factors such as interest in reproductive psychiatry, research experience, leadership potential, flexible temperament, and career goals. Please note that this training program is not accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
U.S. citizens and green card holders must have a valid New York State license to practice medicine by the time of entry into the program. If not eligible for a full license, you must have a valid limited permit for practice in New York State to enroll.
