Clinical Nursing Director Cardiovascular Center- Operating Room/ PACU

We’re currently seeking a strong nursing executive with a solid background in Cardiovascular, OR/PACU, and the confidence to help us define and deliver the highest level of patient care.

The Clinical Nursing Director plans and manages the clinical and administrative operations for the CVC OR/PACU.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with medical staff and other disciplines for the successful implementation of patient, unit, and institutional objectives.
  • Provide coordination between patient care units within the organizational structure of Nursing Services.
  • Provide coordination between operating rooms/procedural units, PACU, Anesthesia and in-patient units for efficient throughput that is consistent with unit and institutional goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement unit goals and objectives which include the establishment of standards of practice in patient care consisted with national professional and regulatory guidelines.
  • Evaluate performance of nursing staff responsible to patient care unit.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with other disciplines to plan, evaluate, and implement the commodity budget for the patient care unit.


Qualifications:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan.
  • Master's degree in Nursing or Health Care Administration, Public Health, Business or related field (a Juris Doctor degree may be considered). If Master's degree is not in Nursing, a Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.
  • Two years of recent leadership experience, to include demonstrated leadership, management, communication, counseling, problem solving, decision making, conflict resolution and group process skills.
  • At least five years of nursing experience with demonstration of progressive clinical competence.
  • Nurse Leadership certification or completion within one (1) year of accepting this position or when eligible to certify, whichever comes first.
  • Certifications must be recognized ty the Magnet Recognition Program and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
