Description

We are a new and first class multispecialty surgery center, looking for a highly qualified and motivated professional to assist with the set up and leading of an orthopedic ASC as a Director of Nursing. We are currently under construction and scheduled to open end of 2023/beginning of 2024.

This role will be responsible for directing, planning, organizing and managing the operations on a day-to-day basis. The responsibilities of the Director of Nursing include clinical management, effective and efficient utilization of resources; recruitment and retention of employees; achieving dashboard metrics; performance improvement, revenue growth, and operational efficiency. This position will work with the business office to oversee operations and surgeon relationships.

The Director of Nursing provides leadership for continuous service and quality improvement, innovation and staff empowerment, accomplished through effective internal and external patient relations.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Must be a Registered Nurse – With valid State of Idaho Nursing License (can obtain one, if licensed in another state)
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN/CNOR required: Master’s Degree in Hospital Administration; Nursing, Management, Business Administration, or related field from an accredited college or university, preferred
  • BLS required, ACLS preferred
  • 5 - 8 years healthcare management experience - 3 years in an applicable ASC environment , preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Fantastic communication skills with the ability to relate to Physicians and all organizational levels of the team
  • Responsible for overseeing all Pre-Op/OR/PACU and ASC team
  • Oversee clinical and administrative daily operations of the ASC, ensuring patient safety and excellent quality care of patients
  • Knowledgeable in CMS conditions of coverage participation rules and regulations, AAAHC Accreditation requirements, development and implementation of policy and procedures, HIPAA, Grievance Procedure, compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Proven ability to work effectively with surgeons
  • Demonstrated track record of management of personnel and fiscal resources with never compromising patient satisfaction
  • Leadership ability to guide, direct, and mentor staff
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and diverse activities, to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Create a positive, professional environment with high employee morale through strong leadership
